About Susan Calabria
Susan Calabria is a New York-based interior designer who combines her love of color and fabric with a keen ability to forecast trends.
She has been a part of the design business for more than 20 years, working as a textile designer, interior designer and colorist for both residential and commercial clients. Prior to starting Noli Design, she was the Design Director for F. Schumacher & Company, one of the world’s most renowned interior design firms. There she created high-end fabric collections and worked closely with some of the world’s most sought-after interior designers.
It was at Schumacher that Susan honed her distinctive forte for forecasting design and color trends. This ability, combined with her impeccable understanding of fabrics and colors, has resulted in award-winning environments that are stunning yet functional, and reflect her client’s own unique style and taste.
Susan went on to work at Scalamandre, where she served as creative director and designed their fabric, wall coverings, and furniture collections, bringing her professional skills to a level that made her confident enough to continue on to and embrace her entrepreneurial calling.
A native of Long Island, Susan graduated from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology with degrees in both Fine Arts and Textile Design.
Susan Calabria has been working with design industry colleagues and collaborators for more than five years. She believes that form and function are just as important in design as is beauty. Her showroom melds her creative artistry with beautiful furniture, accessories, and lighting. Also on display are a dynamic selection of fabrics, from simple textures to intricate and colorful patterns, that she uses in many of her projects.
